As the successful 2018-2019 comes to a close, the club would like to express our appreciation for all the hard work, landowner permissions, generous support of businesses/cities/individuals for fundraising efforts, and of course Mother Nature for giving us the snow we haven’t had in a few years. Membership in the club is riding high and the monthly meetings seem to keep growing with new people joining us. The state of the Sno-Cruiser Union is strong and we look forward to a prolific 2019-2020. Keep up the good work, have a great summer, and as always think snow!

HOT Dishes for COOL Trails

Please join us at Lupulin Brewing  on Saturday January 26th for this flavorful new fundraising event:

11AM – Contestant and Judge Check-In.

12PM – Taproom opens to the general public.  Tasting Wristbands on sale for $10 to sample the dishes while supplies last.

2PM – Contest Winners will be announced.  *Lupulin will also be hosting their own “staff choice” and present these winners with special gifts*

3PM – The event formally draws to a close but the taproom will remain open during their regular hours and Sno-Cruisers Special will be available for sale at Lupulin’s taproom until the special brew runs out.

Contestants may email to preregister hot dish entries.  [We ask that each entry please be at least 4 quarts to ensure contest judges and participants have a chance to sample.]

Thank you, Good Luck, and Enjoy!

Hey Cruisers and Fellow #Snowmobilers!

Please join us Saturday March 5th at The Friendly Buffalo in Big Lake from 6PM-9PM for AYCE Taco Bar, Drinks, Silent & Live Auctions, and a CASH RAFFLE.    Not only is it a perfect venue to come out and talk with other snowmobiling enthusiasts but you can win #Cash Money, bid on neat stuff from local businesses, meet the faces behind the trails, and help the club raise some money for building and maintaining a better Sherburne County Snowmobile Trail System.

ATTN: Big Lake Snowmobilers – BEWARE in town

There have been reports of snowmobilers running DANGEROUSLY close to the tracks in downtown Big Lake posing serious risk of collision with trains.  The club is working on a safe route through town but this is a lengthy process and the available route options are extremely limited.  PLEASE use caution, stay clear of the tracks, and note the signs that have been placed to keep you SAFE.   Should this continue to occur, it will adversely affect the Club’s efforts to maintain the system in town.   We implore you to ride smart, think safety, and respect landowners property.  Thank you for your cooperation as the club works diligently to protect a safe place for the sport in our beloved community.

Need SNOW, Trails Still Closed

If you follow different snowmobile clubs or MnUsa you will see pictures of stuck groomers all over. Just because it is after December 1st does not mean the trails are open, we need over 6 inches of good snow and the ground frozen. The weather this fall did not help with the rain and lack of cold weather. We did some knockdown grooming in some areas, this does not mean they are rideable it is to make a good trail base. As of now the trails in Sherburne County are close. Stay tuned for updates.

Trail open

Trails Not Open…Not sufficient snow cover :(

Hi Cruisers,

The recent snowfall was nice to see however it’s not yet enough for the trails to be in suitable riding condition   Please keep on doing those snow dances as we wait for Mother Nature.   In the meantime, the monthly club meeting will be held tomorrow night 12/3 at 7:30PM at the Trail Shed on County Road 4 East of Orrock.

Think Snow,

The Big Lake Sno-Cruisers
